The #1 Secret for a Healthy Heart

Wherever you go, go with all your heart.”

I’m just going to cut right to the chase today guys – no short stories, no fancy one liners, today we’re going strictly bread and butter.

Because today were going to discuss a no-nonsense, saw dust on the floor chemical compound that by all accounts is going to be the next big thing in naturopathic medicine – CoQ10 (Coenzyme Q10).

CoQ10 is a naturally occurring compound that’s found in almost every cell in the human body – and is responsible for the production of a critically important molecule known as ATP.

ATP is the motor that powers almost every major cell in your body and is responsible for a number of biological processes including muscle contraction (most importantly the heart muscle) and new cell growth.

Research into this powerful compound has recently revealed that CoQ10 also works as a super powerful antioxidant and free radical fighter.

Free radicals are devious little compounds that are believed to be responsible at least in part for the aging process as well as the development of a number of very serious health problems.

In laymen’s terms it’s like the aging process as seen under a microscope.

Not only that CoQ10 has been shown to boost internal energy levels, enhance the immune system and help increase the body’s resistance to certain diseases.

Maintain Optimal Heart Health with Cardio Factor with CoQ10

The talk everywhere these days is about Enzyme CoQ10. Few nutritional supplements have ever received the notoriety for improving and maintaining heart health as CoQ10 has! CoQ10 is a powerful natural enzyme that has been shown in study after study to effectively increase arterial wall elasticity and to help improve oxygenation in the blood.

And when it comes to care and proper maintenance of optimum heart health CoQ10 is man’s best friend – due to its ability to improve energy production in heart cells and inhibit the formation of potentially lethal blood clots.

One key study for example found that people who supplemented with CoQ10 within 3 days of having a heart attack were significantly less likely to experience a relapse.

Several small studies done of this “miracle” compound have also suggested that CoQ10 could also be an effective treatment for high blood pressure.

It usually takes about 6-10 weeks for the effects to become noticeable – but it’s a small price to pay for a cheap alternative treatment to prescription meds.

Another interesting little fact is that levels of CoQ10 tend to be lower in people with high cholesterol – so this little enzyme just might be your one stop shop for total optimum heart health.

But this little “miracle” compound doesn’t stop there. Research has also shown CoQ10 to be an effective tool to…

  • Normalize blood sugar levels

  • Repair bleeding or damaged gums

  • Increase sperm motility and enhance fertility

  • Boost athletic performance and fight the effects of fatigue

Really, is there anything this little wonder of Mother Nature can’t do?! Because I can’t seem to find it.

And after all that you’re probably wondering how you can add this “miracle” compound to your diet – well my friend it’s not hard at all.

The most concentrated dietary sources of CoQ10 come from oily fish like salmon, trout, mackerel, herring and sardines.

Organ meats like liver have also been shown to have high concentrations of this heart healthy enzyme.

But if you’re like me and the though of liver and onions with a side of sardines makes you liver quiver I suggest adding a high quality CoQ10 supplement like the one I use to your daily regimen.

Just remember to talk to your doctor or personal physician before adding any new nutritional supplement to your diet.

As always, better safe than sorry.

Stay Healthy!

Exciting News About Mushrooms!

-Doc Darville

New research shows us that mushrooms are full of free radical fighting antioxidants.

According to a study from Penn State University mushrooms are the best source of ergothioneine (a powerful antioxidant) you can find.

And it’s even better news if you’re into cooking new and different foods. Because the more exotic varieties contain more ergothioneine than their standard counterparts…

  • Shiitake – about 13 milligrams per 3 oz. serving

  • Oyster – about 13 milligrams per 3 oz. serving

  • Portobellos – about 5 milligrams per 3 oz. serving

  • Cremini – about 5 milligrams per 3 oz. serving

Standard white mushrooms had the least but they still had more than wheat germ. And up until this study wheat germ was thought to be the richest source of ergothioneine around.

And the best part is they’re one of the most versatile foods out there – you can put mushrooms in just about anything.

They’re great in soups, stews, chilies, pasta dishes or just plain sautéed and dumped all over a nice juicy steak or chicken breast!

So have fun cooking and…

Bon Appetite!
