Is Obesity Abuse?

Weird question huh? I mean of course you know obesity is bad – even being moderately overweight increases your risk of contracting numerous health concerns.

Your chances of dying from a heart attack or stroke sky rocket as do your odds of developing other serious – even life threatening health issues.
Not to mention the amount of extra poundage you carry around your mid section directly influences your body’s ability to perform sexually and maintain a healthy functioning immune system.

So most of us try to do what we can to stay in the best shape reasonably possible. And the ones that don’t – well that’s their problem right?

Live and let live that’s always been my advice. But what are we to do as a society when the obese party turns out to be an 8 year old boy who at this tender age already tips the scales at over 217 pounds?

Well that’s exactly the question I find myself pondering this morning after reading a recent article about Connor McCreaddie – an 8 year old boy from Wallsend England who’s in danger of being taken from his parents by Social Services on charges of neglect if his health does not improve.

Officials met with the parents Tuesday to discuss the health of Conner who at 218 pounds weighs three times for than average for a boy his age – and could lead to him being taken into protective care.

His weight has gotten so out of hand Conner has problems dressing and washing himself without assistance and he misses school regularly due to his poor health.

Endurance and Firmness are the 2 keys to truly gratifying sex – for you and your lover!

It’s for that very reason Best Life Herbals has combined Traditional Eastern Medicine with rigorous Western medical research techniques to formulate the most potent sexual intensifier ever formulated. It’s Fast, Potent and effective – but don’t take my word for it…

Health officials did say taking Connor from his parents would be a last resort – and for the time being he will be allowed to remain with his family. But he will have to adhere to an intense diet and exercise program until his weight improves or risk further action.

Now I don’t really want to turn this into a political discussion – or a debate on the powers the state has over our personal decisions. But it does beg the question – are any of us guilty of the same kind of abuse.

And I’m not just talking about the care you take in molding your own children’s or even your grandchildren’s health habits. I’m worried you might be abusing yourself.

A Healthy Diet and regular exercise are two of the most critical factors in maintaining a lean healthy physique, a tireless circulatory system, a and as we get a little older the two become a crucial factor in our ability to perform sexually.

Not to mention a proper diet combined with regular exercise is the surest path to a 100 candles on your birthday cake. It’s one path I really hope you are following.

It’s Good to Know…

Obesity is a condition that affects nearly 1/3 of American adults (approximately 60 million) and is estimated to cause at least 300,000 excess deaths in the U.S. every year.

Obesity is defined as an excess proportion of total body fat. A person is technically considered obese when his or her total weight is 20% or more above their ideal weight.

The most common measure for obesity is the body mass index (BMI). You are considered overweight if your BMI is between 25 and 29.9 – you are considered obese if your BMI is over 30. If your BMI is 40 points of higher you are classified as “morbidly obese”.
