Ancient African Remedy Delivers Modern Prostate Relief

Ancient African Remedy Delivers Modern Prostate Relief

Ancient African Remedy Delivers Modern Prostate ReliefDear Health-conscious Friend,

Ancient African Remedy Delivers Modern Prostate Relief

In the mountains of central Africa, a broad-leafed evergreen towers 75 feet or more into the canopy. The locals say its fruit is a favorite of rare mountain gorillas.

People won’t eat the fruit – it’s too bitter. However, they use almost every other part of the tree… for shelter, tools, and medicine. The common name for this tree is red stinkwood. But here in the West we know it as Pygeum africanum.

Pygeum has many traditional uses as an herbal remedy – from stomachache to fever to insanity. But its real value lies somewhere else entirely… prostate relief.

As I’m sure you know, prostate enlargement is one of the most common complaints among middle-aged and older men. This is a natural process, but it can – and usually does – get out of hand. If they live long enough 9 out of 10 men will have prostate-related problems.

The trouble starts because the membrane surrounding your prostate can’t stretch. As your prostate grows, the membrane prevents it from expanding outward. This leaves only one area for expansion.

You see, your prostate gland surrounds your urethra – the tube that carries urine from your bladder. As it enlarges, it “clamps down” on the urethra. As the tube narrows, your urine stream gets weaker… you may not be able to fully empty your bladder… and it may even interfere with sex.

Pygeum bark contains several natural substances that can have a beneficial effect on your prostate.

Triterpines blunt the effect of enzymes that promotes swelling. Phytosterols block the action of chemical messengers that lead to inflammation. And fatty acid derivatives ease the absorption of cholesterol compounds into the prostate.

Of course, what’s important to you is the answer to one question: Does it really work?

Based on the studies I’ve seen, the answer is clearly, “Yes.”

Doctors in three countries conducted one especially interesting trial back in 1998. They worked with 85 men with all the classic signs of prostate trouble: weak stream, urine retention, frequent urges, etc.

First, the volunteers went 2 weeks without any treatment or medication. This put everyone on an even footing – and ensured any effects would be due to the Pygeum. Then the men took Pygeum daily for 2 months.

The men saw improvements across the board. Stronger streams, more complete emptying, fewer urges, a third fewer trips to the bathroom at night… and a major boost in their quality of life.

But here’s the big news… After the 2-month trial, the men stopped taking Pygeum for a full month. But all their gains remained.1 In other words, Pygeum’s effect was strong and long lasting.

Researchers at Oxford University analyzed samples from men who had taken Pygeum and compared them to men who hadn’t. And they found quite a difference.

In the men who’d taken Pygeum, genes that suppress inflammation had been “switched on,” while pro-inflammatory genes had been “switched off.”2

If you’re concerned about prostate growth, you can use all the support you can get. A nutritional supplement containing Pygeum may be able to deliver the relief you need. Based on what I’ve seen, it’s an option worth exploring.

Yours in continued good health,
