Eases Discomfort and Promotes a Sexier, More Youthful Look
Australia’s earliest inhabitants scored many firsts. Genetic tests show they were the first humans to leave Africa. The first to reach Asia. And the fist to cross seas to reach the islands of Austral-Asia.
They were also the first to discover a remarkable health-promoting plant. When Captain James Cook arrived in Australia in 1770, this plant was already a centuries-old remedy.
Lacking medicines, British sailors gladly used the plant to fight infection, ease irritated skin, and for any other use the natives suggested. But it wasn’t until the 1920s “modern” scientists looked at the plant seriously.
As so often happens, the “primitive” people were proven right. This plant held all the healing powers the Aborigines believed. And more besides.
Today, this ancient remedy can help you end leg and foot discomfort… promote skin health… and help keep your legs and feet looking and feeling years younger.
The Healing Tree
Nobody knows for sure how Australia’s Aboriginal people discovered the healing properties of melaleuca, but we have clues.
One theory suggests these hunter-gatherers learned drinking from watering holes near certain trees seemed to promote better health. Leaves from the melaleuca fell into the water… breaking down and spreading unique compounds into the water.
When people drank water at these “billabongs” regularly, they had fewer health problems.
However, it happened, Australia’s earliest human inhabitants revered the melaleuca tree. A poultice of crushed leaves sped healing. It also seemed to help keep wounds free from “gong bad.”
As settlement continued, Australia went from a penal colony to a colony. Travel by sail graduated to travel by steam. And “modern” medicine took hold. “Native” remedies were looked down upon as backward and superstitious.
But then, in the 1920s, two doctors performed studies that showed melaleuca killed many germs. New York University studies showing it killed all sorts of microbes on contact. And people began to take notice.
Ease the Suffering of Your Body’s Hardest Working Parts
The same melaleuca Australian natives have used for millennia is still available. And it still gets the same results.
Which is why tea tree oil is an important component of Dr. Jeffrey’s Leg & Foot Soothe.
You see, your legs and feet work harder than any other part of your body. They carry you everywhere. And they absorb most of the shock from walking on hard floors, streets, and sidewalks.
Plus, your feet are prone to developing dry, cracked skin… attacks by bacteria and fungi… blisters and other sores that can lead to infection.
It’s a tough life for your legs and feet. Moisturizers are good, but they only do part of the job. You need powerful defenses. Tea tree oil is a great place to start. Studies show this natural wonder…
• Kills many common bacteria
• Fights the soreness and swelling of inflammation
• Can kill some viruses and parasites
• And, in many cases, works at concentrations of as little as 1%.1
In a 2011 study, Swedish doctors found another benefit of tea tree oil. In their tests, they applied tea tree oil and several other common home remedies to rough, red, “angry” skin.
Although all 3 were effective, tea tree oil easily came out on top.2
In another trial, doctors injected histamine under the skin of a group of volunteers. Histamines usually trigger swelling, redness, and itching.
After 20 minutes, the doctors applied either tea tree oil or a placebo to the affected skin. The placebo made no difference. But the affected area on the volunteers using tea tree oil shrank significantly.3
So when your legs and feet get a little “beaten up,” tea tree oil can provide some relief… and may help guard against little problems becoming big ones.
But tea tree oil isn’t the only secret in Dr. Jeffrey’s Leg & Foot Soothe. We found a surprising source of powerful protection in a most unexpected place. A berry patch.
Berries Defend Skin Cells… and Appear to Ease Pain, Too
You may have heard berries called a “superfood.” They’re bursting with antioxidants, often loaded with key minerals, and some studies show they may fight damage from ultraviolet (UV) rays.
But you don’t have to eat berries to take advantage of at least one of their protective nutrients.
Berries – such as bilberries – are high in plant pigments called anthocyanins (ACs). Dark red, blue, and purple berries are especially rich sources.
Eating anthocyanin-rich foods is linked to mental clarity, healthy vision, less free radical damage, and many other benefits. But rubbing ACs on your skin also has advantages.
For instance, Italian scientists tested ACs on human skin cells in the laboratory. Cells exposed to free radicals showed less damage when pre-treated with high-AC berry extract. The researchers noted the cells’ mitochondria – which make all your cells’ energy – were also more likely to survive with AC pre-treatment.4
In a 2009 study, doctors applied AC-rich berry extract to animals’ skin. Then they exposed their subjects to damaging UV rays 3 days a week for 25 weeks.
By week 19, untreated subjects showed far more skin damage. “Rogue” cells had begun to grow out of control. At the same time, the berry-treated subjects showed far less damage and fewer growths of rogue cells.5
If you’ve ever had sun burned legs, I don’t have to tell you about the discomfort. Sometimes just pulling on a pair of pants can be agony. ACs may not be as effective as sunscreen… but applying Dr. Jeffrey’s Leg & Foot Soothe daily could boost your skin’s natural defenses to save you a lot of pain.
Speaking of avoiding pain… ACs may help you there, too.
A study published in Trauma Monthly, tested ACs against pain similar to the kind people with high blood sugar often experience.
Researchers in this 2010 animal study applied an AC commonly found in berries to their subjects’ skin. Subjects using topical AC showed a clear drop in pain experienced.6
I’ve written before of how the essential oils in Dr. Jeffrey’s Leg & Foot Soothe help ease that nagging “pins and needles” sensation. Now there’s evidence the ACs it contains may magnify this relief.
Then there’s one other little thing…
So Much More Than a Moisturizer
With all the buffeting you legs and feet take, it’s no surprise they’re often injured. The smallest cuts, nicks, and scrapes can lead to serious problems.
Even if they don’t, these “minor” insults are as annoying as heck. A little cut in the right spot on your foot can leave you limping for days – or even weeks.
So, getting rid of them faster would make your life a lot easier, wouldn’t it?
Several studies suggest that may be entirely possible. With an all-natural, 100% safe substance called Beta-glucan (B-glucan).
Oatmeal is rich in B-glucan. Eating oatmeal regularly promotes healthy cholesterol levels… and B-glucan is the main reason. But applying this natural sugar to your skin has a very different effect.
In 2002, doctors triggered irritation in volunteers by applying sodium lauryl sulfate to their skin. This cause redness, swelling, and tenderness.
But when they applied B-glucan from oatmeal to the sore spots, the irritation calmed. This didn’t happen with volunteers who didn’t get B-glucan.7
In 2008, doctors tested B-glucan on wounded animals. When they applied B-glucan to skin wounds, they closed faster and healed more firmly than in animals who didn’t receive the treatment.8 A 2011 Turkish study had similar results.9
Plus, a 2014 review of studies on B-glucan found it has a moisturizing effect and may help fight aging by minimizing the appearance of wrinkles.10
B-glucan is just one more reason Dr. Jeffrey’s Leg & Foot Soothe is so much more than just a moisturizer.
Now let me reveal the best news…
